Alright Stingers Fans, the Ft. Meyers Tarpons are coming to Columbia April 15th at 3pm to take a butt whippin at the hands of YOUR Columbia Stingers!
Let's show these guys some support, there was some marked improvement at last week's game and I think this is our breakthrough game. We can squish those Fish and get our first win of the season!

The Pilgrim Lutheran Church youth will be there on Sunday. I'm helping them out as a chaperon. When I'm in Seminary this coming summer (and for the next 4 years) I'll hopefully be able to obtain a job as a Youth Director and I will be bringing kids more often .

Hey NC...that sounds great! The kids will love the game and the atmosphere. Everyone's there to have a good time. Let me know where you'll be sitting and I'll see if ZIP can't come by and greet your group. I don't have MUCH pull with the team, but I'll use what I have to make sure the kids have fun.

Just got off the phone with the Pilgrim Youth Director and at this point he doesn't know 'final' numbers on the group we'd be taking. My guess would be the 8-15 range (if that). Middle school to high school aged kids (12-17). So, I don't know how interested they'd be in meeting 'Zip.' (I still can't believe that name beat out the 15 or so that I sent in......lol. I still think Major Stinger was a better name).
Though, I think the boys would probably be interested in meeting the Honeybees...lol.
It'll be a fun day regardless if we bring 15 or just the youth director and I show up.
I told the YD that there more than likely wouldn't be a problem in getting a block of tickets a few days before or at the gates, so I don't know where'd they'd sit. More than likely in the 5 (possibly 10) dollar seats. My wife and I like sitting in sections 101 and 118 (right at the endzones), but that doesn't seem to be an area good for getting free schwag, well...except footballs when the other team decides to kick a XP.
You hear me honeybees!! Start throwing stuff into the endzone stands! lol.

We can only throw so far!!! We are trying to convince management to get us some launchers! Do me a favor and do something to let us girls know which group is the Pilgrim Youth Group...like send a couple boys down to the endzone and tell us...then we can try to throw some stuff to them! I think you guys will all have a great time at our next game, the Honey Bees will be a smaller group, but much improved!

Hey Honeybee.....get in touch with the Columbia Inferno hockey team. They have a t-shirt launcher that you might be able to borrow for a few games. I imagine if you turn on the charm, they'll HAVE to let you use it.

This is Brian Elam #24, The Stingers are at a point right now to where there is a lot of negativity stacked up against us right now. There are so many reasons to reach for excuses but we as a team refuse to go that route!!!! This is not only the Stingers organization but Columbia as a city that is being represented on the feel. We are all in this together; fans, players, coaches, management, and administration alike. We repeat this to each other all the time: "This is way bigger than we think it is!!" This organization has a chance to bring something real special and different to Columbia but all the negativity is over-shadowing it. We have to lift each other up and all be on one accord in order to turn this team around real fast!!! As fans, your excitement plays through us on the field. As players, we are representing not just ourselves but our fans, Columbia, and respective towns, cities, and schools from which we derived. We have to all remember that "We are You and YOu are Us!!!!!!" That is a theme to wrap an organization around. Everyone on one accord.
The Stingers refuse to accept excuses and will continue to fight and improve. We are the best team in the league and We WILL show it for now on. This is the new season cause there is no where to go but up cause we refuse to stay where we are at!!!!
On Behalf of the team I want to thank you all for continued support and enthusiasm through the season and this day marks the beginning of the Columbia Stingers takeover!!!!!
Sting 'Em!!!!!!!!!
