This is Brian Elam #24, The Stingers are at a point right now to where there is a lot of negativity stacked up against us right now. There are so many reasons to reach for excuses but we as a team refuse to go that route!!!! This is not only the Stingers organization but Columbia as a city that is being represented on the feel. We are all in this together; fans, players, coaches, management, and administration alike. We repeat this to each other all the time: "This is way bigger than we think it is!!" This organization has a chance to bring something real special and different to Columbia but all the negativity is over-shadowing it. We have to lift each other up and all be on one accord in order to turn this team around real fast!!! As fans, your excitement plays through us on the field. As players, we are representing not just ourselves but our fans, Columbia, and respective towns, cities, and schools from which we derived. We have to all remember that "We are You and YOu are Us!!!!!!" That is a theme to wrap an organization around. Everyone on one accord.
The Stingers refuse to accept excuses and will continue to fight and improve. We are the best team in the league and We WILL show it for now on. This is the new season cause there is no where to go but up cause we refuse to stay where we are at!!!!
On Behalf of the team I want to thank you all for continued support and enthusiasm through the season and this day marks the beginning of the Columbia Stingers takeover!!!!!
Sting 'Em!!!!!!!!!

Hey I just wanted to say that our new management team is awesome and I think things will be getting a lot better for the Stingers. One of the owners even came to watch our Honey Bees practice last night. It's nice to know we are now all going to be taken care of, and maybe we can even get some wins under our belt!!! See you guys Sunday! Oh yeah, and the Honey Bees will be making an appearance at Williams-Brice Stadium this Saturday around 3pm. Come say hello to us!

i hope things get better with the new management.....just a hint of advice to them....get this team to a different league next season and things will be 100% better. this league is a cancer to the sport......shriver and the nifl has killed indoor football markets in numerous cities....columbia stingers football will do very well in columbia, if, and i mean, if the management takes this team to a new league....go stingers!

Brian, we're definitely behind the team here. 100% But......if you've played football for any length of time outside of the high school levels, you know that fans will say what they feel. If I think you're doing a lousy job, as a fan, I have a right to say so. It's not personal, but it shows my investment in the team's success. (and I don't think you're doing a lousy job) I would not have put this site together, and spent my own money to promote it, without any kickbacks from the team if I didn't support you guys. Trust me when I tell you that you have MY support. I just want to see some wins. GO STINGERS!!!!!!!!

Augusta Spartans - I've been to 2 indoor games. My first one was the Stingers opener and then I went to a Spartans game in Augusta with some co-workers from the Chronicle. I went and saw the youth team before the game, what a great program!

yea thanks the YIFL was the brain child of our owner, several recreation departments and a few coaches. The YIFL is paided for by the sponsors they are also financed by some folks with big pockets. Who can say no to a kid when he trys to sell you a sponsor package. The kids practice three times a week watch films and actually have the respect and cooperation of the real Spartans they run the same plays and enjoy it. The biggest prize for the real Spartans is they pay the arena lease for the whole day. In Edgefield County it isnt uncommon to have 4000 people for a youth football game. These kids are a blessing to the WIFL and to the Augusta Spartans.
The thing I like about the Augusta Spartans is the owner and I are close. He gives me his phone number I can call anytime and he values my oppions and lets me do whatever I want. Im just a fan club President nothing else but have a ton of say so in my organization.
This is great - I will be attending the game at Stinger field Saturday - In fact for the rest of this year Im going to be hanging around. I want to do what I can to help

I, and my family and friends(of *#9 and the entire team, coaches, Honeybeez, and Zip), support the team 110%! Use the negativity & doubts to push forward together. This is something new...fresh...there will be issues...but hang in there "Bam Bam" and others...you have much support!
