I strongly feel compelled to issue my thoughts concerning the state of the Stingers address. Being on the outside looking in. So consider this the democratic response.
Fellow Stingers brothers and sisters I want to thank each of you for your reception you have given this Augusta Spartan this year and continue to give me. I think very highly of you and even though I'm still an Augusta Spartan want you to know I'm a Stinger tried and true also and am considering joining you fulltime next season. Because I have a vision and because I beleave in you and want to be apart of you. I attended tonights game and must admit the following.
1) The Guard is not the best 6-0 team in the former NIFL or the leftover getby former NIFL or whatever its called. Columbia played well and was in this game fully up to mid point of the 3rd quarter and could have got back into it in the 4th quarter. Way to go Stingers hold your head up and be proud of where youve come from you are growing, improving and soon you will be on the same level with them. They are an established team with tradition and organization you will be there soon maybe not today but next year.
2) Seasons end I will sit down with Stinger ownership and present to them all of my ideas and a plan of action to consider for next season. Everybody knows the secret to this sport is pounding them day by day sell sponsorships and build your battleplans two weeks after the season. There is no offseason you are all the time gathering nuts for the winter. If you have 1/3 of the season in place by 1 November then you are way ahead of the game.
3) I was moved by the crowd tonight although small in number they seemed unified and together. Made me proud I'm telling all of you every last one of you beleave in your team. The face of arena ball is changing very quickly.
4) I also want to advise you Stingers who seem to think you want a bite of Augusta be very careful what you wish for. You have extra games left and if Augusta gets knocked out of the playoffs thats not to far fetched. This would be sure to draw a packed house in Augusta and a 3/4 full house in Columbia. I dont think you want us but hey im for filling the place up.
And finally Stinger fans thanks for coming out tonight. Be proud of your team. And most of all thanks for allowing this Spartan to teach you a few things you gotta have faith I do and so should you.

The State had an article about the game in the paper today. Here's some questions: --what brought about the altercation between the Stingers staff and the Guard staff? --what did Bam Bam do to get thrown out of the game? --what was the injury to the starting QB? --How many people were in attendance?
I couldn't go because of work but would have liked to.

Monday morning I hang up the Spartan shirts and start with the GA Ragun Bulls so it will be no more Spartan football for me for this year. I don't think next year either its time I slowed down and just started enjoying the weekends more.

Redzone: To my knowledge #24 (bam bam) wasn't thrown out, it was Brett Bigham that was ejected after an on-field altercation after a Columbia interception...As far as the injury to the starting quarterback it was to his arm ( I went to High School w/ him and I can find out all th correct details and get back with you on that) As far as attendance.. I couldn't begin to tell you because I am a honeybee and I couldn't get out there to count everyone LOL.. It was a GREAT game and I hope to see you at the game on this saturday at 7p.m.

?1 - The altercation between the staff was caused by the dirty play of the Fayetteville Guard, cheap shots, and overall disrespect showed on the field. The refs did not seem to want to call obvious penalties against the Guard. (Like the incident by no. 44 kicking our quarterback and causing him to dislocate his elbow.) ?2 - It was Bret Bigham that was ejected for kicking no. 4's (from the Guard) helmet as it lied on the turf. ?3 - We think it was listed as a second or third degree elbow dislocation. ?4 - Attendance was probably around 700 Next week's game we are expecting a high turnout from Ft. Jackson with it being military appreciation night. Come enjoy the Stingers and honor those men and women serving our country.
