This is an e-mail from Bobby Jackson:
The Columbia Stingers regret to announce, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel the remainder of our 2007 season. This weeks' scheduled opponent, the Cincinnati Marshalls, has ceased operations. We understand that this will be a disappointment to our sponsors and most importantly our Stingers fans. The Stingers will play their remaining road games against Greensboro, June 9th, and Fayetteville on June 23rd. "We would like to thank our coaching staff and players for their efforts and our fans for their support. Columbia is a great football city and we are excited about our future here, but we wish the season could have ended in a more positive way," says General Manager Bobby Jackson. All tickets purchased for the remainder of the season will be refunded in full. Customers who purchased tickets via phone, internet, outlet or Box Office with a credit card will receive an automatic refund. Tickets purchased with cash will be refunded at the Colonial Center.

My hats off to the Stingers for a great year. I know all of us are upset and disappointed but let me assure you the face of arena football is changing. Im not allowed to talk but it will get better. I sincerely hope that the Stingers will come join us in Augusta for the rest of the season. Im also excited to get a chance in the next several weeks to sit down with the owners to iron out a battle plan for next year. I love all of you and can assure you that Im dedicated to helping turn this around even if I have to tie Stinger ownership in a chair to get them to listien. I have a vision for Columbia and I will do my part to see it happen. Good night Columbia thanks Stingers for making it all special and thanks for your love and support of this Augusta Spartan.
If Bobby will have me Im one of yall next year because you need me and you need people with love and dedication and vision we will turn this around. I love all of you and wish you the best.
GO BULLS invite all of you to come to Warren County GA High old football field for the bulls this season. log on the GA Rajin bulls web site for games and times.

I hate to hear it but I kind of saw it coming. The odds of Dayton or Atlanta every making it here were slim to none.
I had a great time this season and would like to still make it to the Fayetteville game. It would be great to see the Guard get what's coming to 'em.
Thanks to all of the Stingers players who made the season happen. I'm looking forward to next year, a new league and the return of Arena Football to Columbia!!!!

yes, I do however wish the Stingers would host a pep rally before the Guard game and a fan appreciation get together. We all have alot of work ahead but the face of arena football is changing everyday.

It's been a roller coaster ride of a season folks, and it ended for us suddenly on a sour note unfortunately.
I still have the utmost faith in this organization and hope that you will too.
I plan to have a few sit downs with Bobby Jackson during our offseason, and will report regularly to the Stingers Faithful here at the Stingers Nest.
I appreciate everyone's support and hope to have you all back next season to root for your COLUMBIA STINGERS as they join a stable league with quality competition!!!!
