Hi i'm new to Arena Football. I have 2 boys (9 & 10) and thought they might like it. The Colonial Center sent me an email about FanFest, so we went , but weren't impressed. I'm going to take the to the game Sat. Where would be the best place to sit. Is there any cheers or things? My oldest loves to get involved. Thanks for any info.

The Fan Fest wasn't well promoted, and honestly, neither is the team itself. I set up this site to help bring some attention to the team. Hopefully the ownership will take the cues from the fans they DO have to help get word out before it's too late. I don't expect to see a full house at the home opener, but, with a little time and a lot of luck, we can make the team successful and get some fans in the seats soon. Come on out and enjoy Indoor Football, it's a FUN game to witness. As far as where to sit? I dunno yet, we have a fan club section reserved and you can contact Stinger1 on this board for more info on those seats and pricing. The seats are directly behind the visiting team's bench so that we can distract them! Here's a direct link to the forum message he left regarding the Fan Club Seating: stingersnest.proboards82.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1173553995

the main thing we have to do , is have fun.....people will attend the games...we had 7500 at our opener last season in charleston with little to no advertisments....hopefully things will work out for the stingers!

I have been mentioning the team to people at work for the last couple weeks now. A coworker and his friend bought several tickets today for opening night. i guess through word of mouth, hopefully we can get people to buy tickets and show up. Theres a lot of football fans out there and the price for tickets is very consumer friendly

I was loosely affiliated last year with the Florence Phantoms of the current AIFA. They had about 3000 to 4000 for opening night last year. There were a few radio stations playing ads, a few billboards, the local paper ran a few articles (including a nice game day special edition that outlined the rules). That's why I'm basing my prediction of about 3500 for opening night due to lack of publicity. You just can't start ads the a couple of days before and expect a huge crowd.
As far as sitting, here are a couple of suggestions. If you want to get close to the action and catch a few balls, and possibly players, then get as close as possible to the dasher boards. If you like the technical side of the game (watching plays and lanes develop), then save your money and go a little higher. Despite all the comments on other message boards, indoor football is a great game and loads of fun.
